Business Training Center

As Dominica continues to strengthen its resilience to climate change, there is a growing need for people with practical, job-ready skills that support sustainable development and a greener economy.

The Green Skills Training for Dominica’s Climate Resilient Workforce Programme is helping to prepare participants for this future through six key training areas:

  • Solar & Thermal Energy Systems – supporting the transition to cleaner and more efficient energy solutions.
  • Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) – building technical skills needed for efficient and resilient buildings.
  • Land Surveying & Cost Estimation – strengthening planning, measurement and construction-related skills.
  • Construction Administrator – preparing participants to support the effective management of construction projects.
  • Motorbike Mechanic Certification – developing practical mechanical and maintenance skills.
  • Cyber Security and Efficient Data Entry – strengthening digital skills that are increasingly important across today’s workforce.

By creating more opportunities for people to gain these skills, Dominica can build a stronger workforce that is better prepared to support resilient communities, sustainable infrastructure and future employment opportunities.
